Opening hours at St Albans District Council offices will be extended to give residents more time to discuss Council Tax benefits and bills enquiries.

The council will be sending out Council Tax bills over the next few weeks and is expecting a seasonal increase in enquiries during March and early April.

The Civic Centre office hours will now be temporarily extended for walk-in enquiries about Council Tax, the Council Tax reduction scheme and Housing Benefit.

On the following days, it will be open from 8.30am to 6pm:
• Monday, March 17
• Tuesday, March 18
• Wednesday, March 19
• Thursday, March 20
• Monday, March 31
• Tuesday, April 1
• Wednesday, April 2

Telephone services will also be extended for residents to contact about Council Tax, the Council Tax reduction scheme and Housing Benefits.

It will operate from 8am to 7pm on the following days:
•Monday, March 17
•Tuesday, March 18
•Wednesday, March 19
•Thursday, March 20

The telephone service will also be extended from 8am to 6pm on:
• Monday, March 31
•Tuesday, April 1
•Wednesday, April 2
