A cyclist attempted to hit a driver before spitting in his face after an argument in St Albans.
The incident follows an argument between the cyclist and the driver of a white Vauxhall Astra, who were both heading towards the Watling Street roundabout between 10.40am and 10.50am on Saturday March 22.
St Albans Neighbourhood Sergeant Karen Lewis said: "We would appeal for the cyclist to come forward to hear his account of what happened.
"We are also appealing for any witnesses to come forward."
The cyclist is described as a white man, about 5 ft 8, of medium build, clean shaven, aged about 45. He was riding a racing bike with a white, blue and red frame.
He was wearing a red long sleeve top with black lower sleeves, black cycle gloves and red tinted cycling glasses
