With St George’s Day approaching on Wednesday Saint George and the Dragon visited a St Albans based charity today to hand over a £100 cheque.
The Living Room welcomed representatives from St Albans’ Mummers, who called in to present a cheque, following donations made during their appearances around the town on Boxing Day.
The Mummers first appeared in St Albans nearly fifty years ago, performing a play written a century earlier. A number of venues around the city centre are used for the performances, including historic sites and pubs.
The Living Room, based in Hatfield Road, is a charity dedicated to supporting people with addictions.
