St Albans District Council is offering £75,000 in funding to voluntary and and community groups.

Projects and activities that benefit the community will have the opportunity to apply for a grant as part of the council’s newly-launched 2014/15 Community Grants Fund.

Applications for funding of amounts between £500 and £5,000 are welcomed up to 5pm on Friday, June 20. Groups applying to the fund need to provide evidence that their activity or project is needed by the community and that it will make a real difference.

All applications will be assessed against criteria based on the priorities set out in the District’s Inclusion Strategy. Application forms can be downloaded from the council’s website at http://www.stalbans.gov.uk/communitygrants , or requested by calling 01727 852657.

St Albans Centre for Voluntary Service is offering advice sessions on how to complete the application forms.
