Families are invited to an annual May Fair at a St Albans school next weekend.

Taking place on Saturday, May 10 Cunningham Hill Infants School will host a range of activities including a locomotive steam-train ride, fire engine, bouncy castle, children’s rides and activities, stalls, International food and a barbecue.

Kicking off at 11am, this year’s fair takes on a World Cup theme and highlights of the day include Zumba and Country dancing demonstrations by Year two pupils.

Charlotte Cooper, the Cell Barnes school headteacher said: "This is our major fund raising event of the year where we aim to lay on a fabulous fun event for the whole community as well as raising extra money for the school.

"We hope to see as many people as many people as possible enjoying the afternoon and taking home plenty of prizes and purchases. The money raised at the May Fair will be put towards a secure scooter and bike park, new cameras for each class and library books for the children."

The fair will go on until 2pm and adults are charged £1 for entry and children are free.
