2. First Daze of Summer

3. St Albans Film Festival

The four day event is jam-packed with cinematic brilliance including a screening of The Birds in the cathedral, Jaws in a swimming pool, both controversial parts of Nyphomaniac, the revealing of the winners of the short-film competition and a host of talks, workshops and other events.

4. Steve Melling Trio

During the 1990's Steve played regularly at Ronnie Scott's. He has worked with Stan Tracey, Phil Woods, Benny Golson, James Moody and Charles McPherson and in 2012 joined the European Jazz Ensemble.

5. Edward Robert Hughes: The Last Pre-Raphaelite?

A special exhibition to mark the centenary of the St Albans painters death. He lived in No 3 Romeland next door to the Cathedral, had his well-attended funeral there, and is buried in the Hatfield Road Cemetery, yet he remains largely unknown in the city- something the exhibition hopes to remedy.
