The Star Wars movies and the heat wave of 1976 will be among the memories residents are invited to celebrate during a reminiscence session at the Museum of St Albans this month.

Every month, the museum opens its doors to reminisce about the past with old photos and objects and this time it will be focusing on the 1970s.

Residents will also have the opportunity to bring in and look at objects and photographs, which feature people and places in St Albans in the 1970s.

It may be that the Bee Gees’ hits from Saturday Night Fever and annual folk dance day at Gorhambury with local country dancing expert Mollie Du Cane are among those memories discussed.

The free session will take place on Tuesday, May 27 from 2pm to 3pm at the Hatfield Road museum.
