St Albans & Harpenden Review: Air Ambulance fundraiser held in St Albans Air Ambulance fundraiser held in St Albans

A St Albans restaurant is hosting a Deli Fundraiser in aid of Hertfordshire Air Ambulance tomorrow night.

Jamie’s Italian in Chequer Street will open its doors from 8.30pm with performances from a local band Co-Jones members Katie plus Juan, a jazz and acoustic duo.

The restaurant is aiming to raise £500 for the charity inspired by St Albans mother Rebecca Vukovich.

Ms Vukovich is on a fundraising mission for Herts Air Ambulance after her ten-year-old son, Luca, was hit by a van in June last year.

The Heli-med team attended and flew Luca directly to the specialist trauma unit at the Royal London hospital. He is now making a full recovery from two severely broken legs and is already able to cycle and walk.
