Musicians braved the downpours of rain on Saturday to busk their way to raising £1,400 for a St Albans based HIV charity.
As organised by Denise Parsons of the Trestle Arts Base, the group of city musicians took to the streets to pledge their support for The Crescent, during a busking collection outside the Clock Tower.
Iain Murtagh, operations manager at the Crescent, said: "We had a fantastic day and all of the musicians were brilliant.
"Despite the awful weather the people of St Albans came out for us. It was overwhelming."
Since funding was withdrawn from the Crescent in Russell Avenue by Hertfordshire County Council in June 2011 volunteers have continued to run the charity through their own money and donations.
