A nursery sign worth £200 has been stolen from outside a St Albans nursery in what police say could be a "prank".
The metal sign, which is three to four foot high and one to two foot wide and included the Toddlers-In Nursery School logo, was taken from outside a nursery in Branch Road between 1pm and 1.20pm on Friday, May 16.
PCSO Lewis Griffiths said: "It may have been taken as a prank. The sign is taken in every night so can easily be removed, but two people or a vehicle would have been needed to remove it.
"If you saw anyone acting suspiciously outside the nursery or know who may be responsible, we would like to hear from you."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference F1/14/1575.
