A Redbourn man has been man arrested in connection with a fatal assault at golf course at the bank holiday weekend.
Police and paramedics were called to West Herts Golf Club, in Watford, following reports a man was seriously injured shortly before 11pm on Saturday.
The 64-year-old was found in the car park of the club with head injuries and taken by ambulance to St Mary’s Hospital in London.
He was in critical condition for two days and died yesterday morning.
The 51-year-old man from Redbourn has been arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident.
He has been released on police bail until August 17, while officers continue to investigate.
