Celebrations are being teed up at Harpenden Common Golf Club as it has recieved an award for its new club house.
The Harpenden Society presented the golf club with its design award plaque last week and specially commended the design for blending well with the rural nature of the Common.
The club house was designed by local architect R.D.T and the interior design and furnishings are by Nick Lister. It boasts two restaurants, two bars and a balcony overlooking the 18th green.
The plaque was presented by Chris Marsden on behalf of The Harpenden Society and accepted by the cub’s president, Maurice Kennard.
Mr Kennard said: “This award recognises not only the design and construction of our stunning new building but is a reward to everyone who has assisted in the transformation from our quaint and quirky previous establishment.”
