A fashion show will be held to raise money for an Abbots Langley charity later this month.

Local business ladies are pulling together to work with DEMAND (Design and Manufacture for Disability) in order to organise the event, which will be held on Monday, June 23, at St Michael’s Manor Hotel, St Albans.

The event is to feature a catwalk-style fashion show exhibiting a wide range of ladies’ clothing from major high street brands. These will be sold at discount prices afterwards. All proceeds will go towards the charity.

Amongst those appearing as models is St Albans Mayor Annie Brewster.

Denise Gillies, event organiser from DEMAND, said: "The fashion show will be a fun and glamorous evening. This event is suitable for ladies of all ages, so please gather your girlfriends, sisters, mothers and daughters for a fun ladies night out."

DEMAND is a charity based in Abbots Langley. It manufactures and refurbishes specialist equipment for physically and mentally disabled people.

Advance tickets cost £15 each or £20 for two and include a glass of wine or soft drink and goody bag.
