A Redbourn business has raised more than £1,000 for the Bone Cancer Research Trust (BCRT).

Total Group IT ran a successful "share the love campaign" in February this year, donating a share of its profits during the month to the charity.

Building on the success of this campaign, Total Group director, Nathan Stewart, embarked on a number of fitness challenges in aid of the charity. These include a sponsored cycle trip from Paris to London in May and the recent Blenheim Triathlon.

Mr Stewart said: "Blenheim was a brilliant day and I was proud to be supporting such a worthwhile charity. The open water swim was my biggest challenge to date - I was so glad to make it out of the lake and never have I been so pleased to get on my bike."

Founded in 2006, the BCRT works to improve outcomes for people with primary bone cancer through research, awareness, information and support.

The BCRT is especially close to the heart of Total Group director, Alison Stewart, as she explained:

"Over 20 years ago I lost my sister to a Ewings Sarcoma at the age of 18. Sadly, studies show that survival rates since then haven't improved, and money is desperately needed for research to change these outcomes."
