Police are trying to trace the owner of Staffordshire terrier dog, who was involved in a fight in Verulamium Park on Sunday.
Officers were called to reports of two dogs attacking each other at around 3.30pm near to the Roman wall. Officers attended and spoke with one of the dog owners.
The other owner is described as a white man in his early 30s who was wearing a blue t-shirt, blue shorts and had short brown hair, which was shaved at the back and sides. He was of an average build and around 5ft 9ins in height. He was in company with a white woman wearing a green and white striped dress. The dog was a dark brown tall Staffordshire terrier.
PC Ben Smith said: βAt this stage it is unclear as to exactly what happened but I am keen to trace the owner of the other dog, who has not yet spoken with police. If this was you, please contact me.β
Anyone with information should contact PC Ben Smith via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101 quoting ISR 418 of June 15.
