A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing £900 worth of criminal damage to CCTV cameras in St Albans.

The four cameras were shot at using an air rifle between 5pm on Friday, April 18 and 7.40am on Monday, April 21.

They were put up by St Albans District Council in Bedmond Lane to catch fly-tippers.

The man from Kensworth in Bedfordshire was arrested this morning and is currently in police custody. He was arrested following a police appeal.
