Heartwood Forest will be holding various wildlife walks during the month of July.

The walks are perfect for those interested in the habitants of Heartwood, near Sandridge, or curious to see the woods transform over the evening.

Wildlife expert Murray Brown will be on hand to help visitors get up close and personal with the residents of Heartwood Forest.

Walks will take place on:

• Sunday,  July 13 from 10am and 12 noon

• Friday, July 18 from 8pm to 9.30pm

• Tuesday, July 22 from 10am to 12 noon

Louise Neicho, Woodland Trust site manager said: “These walks are a great way to learn more about the nature on your doorstep, and we are especially grateful to Murray Brown for guiding them.

"The As day turns to night walk in particular offers an alternative look at the Wood when the day is just coming to an end. Families are welcome to come along to these events, but we have more events in August to keep boredom at bay during the long summer holidays.”

The cost of these walks is a £5 per person donation for each event.

All walks are open to families and it is asked that children under the age of 16 are accompanied by an adult and dogs must be on a lead.

Booking is essential as places are limited. For more information and booking call Christina on 07909893545 or email christinajoachim@woodlandtrust.org.uk.
