An appeal launched against Hertsmere Borough Council’s decision to refuse a planning application in Radlett has been successful.
Mr and Mrs Curran appealed after the council refused their application for a first floor side extension, loft conversion and basement extension in Goodyers Avenue.
The planning inspectorate have now granted permission for the extension under the condition that the development starts within three years and the materials used will match those used in the existing building.
The development was originally refused due to concerns about changing the character of the existing house.
