Police are warning residents in St Albans to be aware of rogue traders after three men approached a house on Monday.

Hertfordshire Constabulary were called to an address near Drakes Drive after a call from a concerned member of the public.

Three men approached the house of an elderly couple and offered to carry out work on the roof. The men then proceeded to get onto the roof, which is when the police were called.

Police said that no money changed hands and anyone that saw anything suspicious should contact PC Ben Kirby via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
