A Beavers group in St Albans have raised more than £250 for a charity in South Africa.
The Wednesday colony of 17th St Albans Abbey Beavers took part in a sponsored ball bounce to raise money for the South African Community Arts Therapy programme (CATh).
CATh seeks to serve marginalised and traumatised women and children in several communities outside Cape Town.
Dr Lucy Brown-Wright, whose son is in the group, said: "The beavers did brilliantly in raising a substantial amount that will pay for art materials to help traumatised children in Cape Town but also fund many having personalised gifts, like a birthday cake, which they would otherwise never experience."
