A planning application to demolish a house in Bricket Wood and build four new homes has been refused.

Stuart Loxton submitted the application to demolish the house in Oakwood Road and build one in its place and three in land to the back of the house.

St Albans District Council refused the proposal on the grounds that there is inadequate space available to replace the protected trees on the site - which would have a detrimental impact on the character and appearance of the site.
