A 51-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a fatal assault at a Watford golf club.

John Harrington, of High Street in Redbourn, was charged on August 17 following the incident at West Herts Golf Club in Cassiobury Park on Saturday, May 24.

Terry Hutchinson, 64, was found seriously injured at the club and rushed to St Mary’s Hospital in London.

He died on Tuesday, May 27, in hospital with his family at his bedside.

Harrington was released on bail to appear at Central West Herts Magistrates Court at 1pm on September 5.
