Ambulance and firefighters called to car fire in St Albans

Emergency services were called to a car fire in St Albans this afternoon.

Firefighters received six calls to the fire in Tippendell Lane at 2.51pm. One female casualty was given oxygen therapy on the scene. Police were called to help direct traffic. 

Two hose reels were used to extinguish the fire, which was out by 3.36pm. The black Vauxhall Corsa vehicle is currently being recovered by the owner.
