Cycle paths through St Albans and Harpenden will be put to good use when the Sustrans 100 Mile Smile Ride returns this month.

The circular route across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire uses a combination of National Cycle Networks, quiet roads, marked scenic cycle routes and other shared use paths through countryside and towns.

On Sunday, September 14 the 106 mile ride, which can be joined at any point, will go along the Alban Way from Hatfield to St Albans, and then through Harpenden and onto Luton.
