A man arrested yesterday on suspicion of theft of heritage artefacts and munitions through illegal metal detecting has been bailed.
The 48-year-old from Windmill Avenue was arrested after First and Second World War artefacts and munitions were seized from a house in Windmill Avenue.
Part of the street was cordoned off yesterday and a search warrant was executed at the house.
The man was further arrested on suspicion of possession of explosives, firearms and ammunition. He has been bailed until November 14.
Officers remain at the house today as the search continues. The residents who were evacuated yesterday have now returned to their homes.
The EOD may be carrying out further controlled explosions today.
