Police who discovered a massive haul of First World War and Second World War firearms and explosives in a St Albans home yesterday have confirmed a second raid in Oxfordshire is linked.
Thames Valley Police stormed a house in Bicester this morning and uncovered a similar collection of war munitions.
Army bomb disposal experts and police conducted controlled explosions to make the scene safe.
A 35-year-old man is currently being held by police on suspicion of theft from heritage and protected sites after the raid in Buckingham Crescent.
Hertfordshire Constabulary confirmed today the two warrants were linked.
Detective Sergeant Pete Frost said: "I can confirm that the Thames Valley incident is linked to Hertfordshire Constabulary’s investigation and the warrant that was executed yesterday in St Albans.
"Our investigation is ongoing and officers still remain at the address in St Albans whilst the search continues."
