A charity in St Albans has been given a £2,000 cheque from the Foresters Charity Stewards UK Trust.
Earthworks St Albans based at Hixberry Lane teaches people living with learning difficulties and mental health issues skills in horticulture.
Earthworks fundraiser Alex McCann said: “This much needed grant will contribute towards paying our students bursary.
“Each academic year Earthworks welcomes a Hertfordshire University student to work alongside our disabled gardeners. These students bring with them a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm and are invaluable to Earthworks.”
