District councillor charged with assault following incident in recycling centre
A St Albans District councillor has been charged with common assault after an incident at a recycling centre in St Albans.
Conservative Councillor Salih Gaygusuz was arrested at Ronsons Way in Sandridge on Thursday in connection with an alleged altercation with a man in his 40s.
Councillor Gaygusuz, of Southfield Way, is due before Central Herts Magistrates on October 7.
