The Mayor of Harpenden is inviting children to take part in a Christmas poster competition.
The competition is open to children from Harpenden aged four to 11, and they are invited to create an A4 poster based around the theme of ‘Helping Your Neighbour’.
Entries, showing the designer’s name, age, school year and school/organisation on the back, are to be sent to the Town Hall in Leyton Road.
The overall winner will have their poster design printed on the front of Councillor Mary Maynard’s Christmas card, receive a WHSmith giftcard and also be invited to turn on the Christmas lights at the Christmas Carnival.
The competition closes on Friday, October 24 and the posters will be judged on Monday, October 27.
