A bar in St Albans raised more than £1,000 for charity by holding a curry night.
The Chilli Bar & Kitchen in London Road hosted the fundraising on Tuesday in aid of The Hospice of St Francis - which provides a bed for patients with life-shortening illnesses.
The curry night was attended by more than 70 guests including Mayor of St Albans, Councillor Geoff Harrison, and the lady Mayoress, with local St Albans entertainer Elvis Shmelvis making a surprise guest appearance during dinner to serenade the diners.
