NHS workers will strike on Monday over a row with the government about pay.
Members of UNISON, Unite, GMB, UCATT, The Royal College of Midwives and the Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association are expected to form a picket line at major NHS sites from 7am until 11am on Monday.
They will also take industrial action short of a strike by taking their full contractual and statutory breaks between October 14 and 17.
UNISON said its members are taking the action over the government’s refusal to implement the Independent Pay Review Body’s pay increase.
West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust said it would be "business as usual" throughout the strikes.
The trust said: "We have developed robust plans for both strikes and anticipate that it will be business as usual across our hospitals on both days, i.e. we are not planning to cancel appointments or operations.
"As such, patients are asked to attend their appointments as normal. If we need to cancel appointments, then patients will be contacted directly."
Council services and schools across Hertfordshire were due to be hit by walk-outs - organised by Unison, GMB and Unite - on Tuesday, but the industrial action was called off last night.
