More than 200 people attended a celebration of theatre director Joan Littlewood’s centenary in St Albans.
Trestle Arts Base in Russet Drive joined 138 other Fun Palaces across the world to celebrate arts, culture and science in the community.
The theatre hosted free activities which were planned and organised by a team of volunteers including staff and students from Beaumont School and Marlborough School.
The host of activities, aimed at engaging local young people, included special effects make up, crazy science experiments, dream catcher making, graffiti art and shadow puppetry.
