St Albans Cathedral will open its doors later this month for an organ recital.
Andrew Lucas, master of the music at the cathedral, will perform a number of classics on Sunday, October 19.
His programme includes music written by Elgar and Howells in response to World War I, and three works by the pioneering organist-composer Jehan Alain, who was killed in action in World War II, aged just 29.
The free session will begin at 3pm and is expected to last about an hour.
A retiring collection will be available for the Cathedral’s music department.
