Harpenden In Bloom volunteers were out in force in the autumn sunshine on Saturday, planting the flower beds for the winter.
The Town Mayor Councillor Mary Maynard joined councillors, volunteers from the Harpenden in Bloom Working Party, the 1st Harpenden Brownies and pupils from St George’s School to plant flowerbeds in the town centre with an array of polyanthus and bulbs to bring colour to the town centre this winter.
The town's mayor said: "I was delighted to see the Harpenden In Bloom volunteers, the pupils from St Georges and the 1st Harpenden Brownies working so hard planting bulbs and flowers to give pleasure to the residents of Harpenden through the winter."
