In recognition of the Centenary of WW1, a wreath will also be laid in remembrance of all the unknown servicemen who made the ultimate sacrifice. Members of the public may also lay their own wreaths or plant poppies or crosses.

Roads will be closed in St Albans city centre and Harpenden town centre to facilitate Remembrance Sunday parades. The closures will prevent vehicles going down St Peters Street in St Albans and High Street in Harpenden from 10am to 12midday.

PC Barry Eldridge said: "We would encourage motorists to allow extra time for their journeys and be mindful of these temporary road closures to enable the Remembrance parades to take place."
