Joanovarc has enlisted the help of Eastenders actor John Altman, aka "Nasty" Nick Cotton for their Christmas single.
Their festive version of Iggy Pop's Real Wild Child (Wild One), spliced with the traditional carol Jingle Bells, features on Coral bookmakers list of singles tipped for Christmas number one.
Joanovarc was formed in 2004 and has members from St Albans, London and Stevenage. They have gigged around the world for more than ten years.
The band met John Altman while performing on the cruise ships and stayed friends for many years.
Shelley Walker, from the band, said: "We invited him to our local Balstock festival to sing as a guest with us.
"Record label Right Track/Universal saw the video online and asked if we would release a Xmas single with John.
"We were delighted, we then decided that a Xmas version of 'Wild ones' Iggy Pop would be a perfect song and would suit John and the band."
