The M1 is closed northbound this morning after an accident in which a car has overturned.
Emergency services are at the scene of an accident that has resulted in the northbound carriageway of the M1 being closed this morning.
A car, believed to be an Alfa Romeo, has overturned between Junction 6 (Bricket Wood and North Watford) and Junction 6A (M25).
Northbound traffic is having to exit the M1 at Junction 6. Trapped traffic between J6 and accident site is currently being released via hard shoulder.
There is a diversion in place, which involves using the northbound A405 North Orbital Road and then the A414 to rejoin the M1 at J8.
