The Quaker meeting house in Harpenden has re-opened after a £250,000 improvement project.
The Mayor of Harpenden, Councillor Mary Maynard, re-opened the meeting house on Southdown Road, which has a new entrance and reinstated corridor.
Major grant funding for the work came from The Veolia Environmental Trust, the Central Meeting Houses Fund, The Harpenden Trust and The Sylvia Adams Charitable Trust.
Two meeting rooms have also been remodelled, the kitchen has been enlarged and the toilets refurbished, adding fixtures for wheelchair users and baby changing.
