Motorists are facing severe delays on the M25 this morning after two accidents.

The M25 has been closed due to accident investigation work on M25 clockwise between J23 and J27 after a lorry crossed over the central reservation between J26 and J27 around 2am and hit several other cars, including two other lorries.

The road will be closed until 12pm. A diversion is operating via the A1, A406 and M11.

Two lanes are closed also due to jackknifed lorry on M25 clockwise between J21A (St Albans) and J22 (St Albans / The Bell Roundabout / London Colney), with congestion backed up until J21. Lanes one and two have been closed, with all traffic passing in lanes three and four.
