The Deputy Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield and an ethical online-giving site have teamed up to support charities in the area and the community.
Golden Giving and Deputy Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield Councillor Lynne Sparks, who is also the charity patron, created a well-received "Hatfield Corporate Social Responsibility fair" on Friday, December 5, which gave charities the opportunity to promote their work and further develop relationships with their local community.
The fair was the first of its kind and was held at the Hatfield Galleria, with guest attendance by MP Grant Shapps. There were twenty exhibiting charities, Christmas carols performed by Hertfordshire Students Union Musical Society and food tastings by event sponsor Frankie & Benny's. Welwyn Garden City Marks & Spencer provided free lunch to the charities.
