The Peace Hospice has opened a new store in London Colney.
The charity, which offers care for people with a life limiting illness, has opened its 13th store in High Street.
The shop was opened last week by the Chairman of London Colney Parish Council, Councillor Malcolm Macmillan, Hospice Chief Executive Officer Sue Plummer, Hospice Chairman of Trustees David Ellis, Hospice Trustee Christine Stephens and shop manager Lisa Dodwell.
In addition to raising revenue for the hospice by the sale of second hand goods, the shop will also display news of Peace Hospice Care events.
The shop's first volunteer, Patricia Ansari said: "I wanted to support a charity locally. I love meeting people and have a background in palliative care as I used to be a nurse.
"I love the look of the shop. Coincidentally, I worked in this building as part of my first job over 40 years ago when I was still at school. I'm looking forward to volunteering for Peace Hospice Care, it's a great way to meet people and keep active."
