A boy from Harpenden was the special guest at a carol concert in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Henry Parrott, 15, joined celebrities to deliver a festive reading at the concert, which raised £229,000 for specialist equipment at the hospital.
Henry was joined by Myleene Klass, who hosted the night, as well as Jeremy Paxman and actors Tom Cullen, Tamsin Egerton, Penelope Wilton and Sir John Standing who also delivered special festive readings.
Henry developed a brain tumour when he was nine years old. He was rushed to Great Ormond Street Hospital where he had five operations, six MRI scans and spent five days in intensive care.
Tim Johnson, Chief Executive of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity said: "We’re so grateful to Henry for helping to make the night so very special. The money raised will help us to make a huge difference to the young patients at Great Ormond Street Hospital."
Henry’s mum added "We are really proud of Henry we were honoured to be invited and we’re thrilled that the money will go towards helping more families like ours."
