Time is running out to nominate outstanding individuals and community groups in St Albans for the Mayor's Pride Awards.
The deadline is January 16, with the winners to be announced at a gala event on March 26 at the Alban Arena.
Councillor Geoff Harrison, mayor of St Albans City and District, said: "If you value the work of a local community group or know someone who has gone the extra mile, please nominate them for a Mayor’s Pride Award.
The awards showcase the work and achievements of extraordinary people and community groups and are an ideal way to thank them for their efforts and work."
Nominations can be made for community champion, cultural innovation award, young person of distinction, community project, community oriented business, environmental champion, voluntary sector award and inclusive communities award.

The nomination form is also available from the council’s offices, the Alban Arena, Harpenden Public Halls.
Completed nomination forms need to be emailed to events@stalbans.gov.uk or sent to the community engagement team, St Albans City and District Council, Civic Centre, St Peter’s Street, St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL1 3JE.
