Another cold weather alert has been issued for south west Hertfordshire, with severe conditions expected to hit the area.

The Met Office issued a fresh level two warning on Sunday, which they say is an important stage for social and healthcare services.

The Met Office warning says the conditions could increase the health risks to vulnerable patients and lead to the disruption of some services.

Level two is the second highest of four Met Office warning levels for cold weather and means "alert and readiness".

The latest forecast for St Albans suggests temperatures could drop to -1C tomorrow and range from a high of 3C to -2C on Thursday.
