A St Albans women's group will be holding a "Join me on the Bridge" event to mark International Women's Day.
Soroptimist International St Albans & District will be celebrating with women and girls all over the world with the event which will be held at Verulamium Park at 2pm on Sunday, March 8.
Guest speaker Penny Williams, JP, Deputy Lieutenant of Hertfordshire will be attending the event. Ms Williams is known for championing human rights including the rights of women.
There will be photos on the bridge plus celebration through music and songs at 2.15pm. At 2.30pm the group will walk from the bridge to the Inn on the Park Cafe where there will be tea, cake and speeches.
Donations to cover costs will be gratefully received on the day.
