Visitors will have the chance to discover the wild side of St Albans Cathedral next weekend.

Guides will be taking visitors around the cathedral on Sunday, February 1, highlighting how animal imagery has been used to tell stories in the Cathedral.

Officials say guests can expect to see "pelicans, unicorns, peacocks and bears" on the tour.

Julia Low, Chair of the Guides, said, "Our More to Explore tours have been developed to give visitors a more detailed look at some of the unique aspects and rare treasures at the Cathedral. "We hope to welcome lots of visitors on these tours which generally take place on the first Sunday of each month. Do bring your binoculars for the Animal Safari."
