The Harpenden Town Mayor held a fun Charity Burns Night in aid of her nominated charities last week.
Councillor Mary Maynard hosted the event at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club on Friday, January 23 to support Community Meeting Point and Home-Start.
Guests were greeted to the sound of bagpipes on their arrival, and the night then consisted of a three course meal, including haggis, and Gaelic folk music and dancing.
Both experienced and novice dancers all had a great time and Councillor Maynard was asked afterwards by several people if she would organise a Burn's Night next year.
Councillor Maynard said: "Thank you to everyone who supported the event. It was such a fun evening and it was lovely to see so many people up and dancing at the end.
"A special thank you to Glenday for her contribution in making the event so successful. The evening raised £500 for my two charities."
