Two men, a woman and a girl have been charged following an alleged burglary in Wheathampstead.

The two incidents in which all four have been charged in relation to occurred in Valley Rise at around 3pm on Monday, January 26.

It is alleged a house was burgled and cash stolen. It is also alleged that a vehicle parked on the drive was damaged as part of an attempt to gain access to it.

Lewis Stansfield, aged 20 and from Luton, has been charged with two counts of burglary and attempted theft from a motor vehicle.

He appeared at Hatfield Remand Court today and was remanded in custody.

Jessie Hughes, aged 19 and from Stopsley, has been charged with burglary and attempted theft from a motor vehicle.

He also appeared at Hatfield Remand Court today and was remanded in custody.

Eleanor Warren, aged 18 and from PToddington, has been charged with burglary and attempted theft from a motor vehicle. She is due to appear at Central West Herts Magistrates’ Court on February 13.

A 15-year-old girl from Dunstable has been charged with burglary and attempted theft from a motor vehicle. She is due to appear at Central West Herts Magistrates’ Court on February 13.

The additional incident in which Stansfield was charged in relation to occurred in Kings Walden, near Hitchin on December 28 where it is alleged that a house was broken into.
