A yellow warning of snow and ice has just been issued by the Met Office across south west Hertfordshire.

The Met Office has issued the yellow warning - the lowest level of severe weather warning that asks members of the public to be aware of some rather slippery conditions.

Showers expected this afternoon may fall increasingly as sleet, snow and hail. Tempretures in St Albans will drop to -1C at around 5pm.

The warning is in place until 11am on Friday.
