A St Albans college has become one of only three colleges to be awarded Autism Accreditation.
The support given to students with autism in Oaklands’ Springfield and Support Learning provision has been given the seal of approval from the National Autistic Society (NAS).
Head of Springfield and Supported Learning Kerry Lowe said: “I am very pleased that our provision has been awarded this accreditation.
“It means that parents can be assured that their child is getting the very best support while they are a student with us.
“I’m very proud of the team for all their hard work. I would also like to thank all the students, parents and guardians who also gave us feedback, supporting us to get to this point.”
Oaklands College is a large further education college with campuses across Hertfordshire and 10,000 students.
